Venezuelan Foreign Affairs Minister, Jorge Arreaza, received this Wednesday the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, Yavad Zarif, who will fulfill in the country a working agenda at the highest level to deepen the strategic relations of bilateral cooperation.
“At 3:45 am today we received the brother Foreign Affairs Minister of Iran, Yavad Zarif. Each high-level visit deepens our strategic alliance, our brotherhood. Venezuela and Iran have shown solidarity and courage in the face of the attacks. We will carry out an intense agenda during his stay, ” Chancellor Arreaza reported on his twitter account.

Cooperative relations between the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Islamic Republic of Iran have strengthened considerably in the last 18 years but more importantly in the last 3 years when both countries have faced illegal US sanctions making them build a strong friendship.
Both countries have signed different agreements on energy, science, economic and industrial matters, and belong to the Movement of Non-Aligned Countries (NAM), the Forum of Gas Exporting Countries and the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).

Both governments currently advocate the establishment of a multiporal and multicentric world for the self-determination of peoples free from interference, says a press release from the Venezuelan Ministry for Foreign Affairs, published on its website.
