The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, addressed the Venezuelan people in a national TV broadcast this Friday. During the event he expressed gratification for the recent news of the release of former Brazilian president Lula da Silva .

From the People’s Palace, where Maduro is located on a day of supervision of various public infrastructure projects, he said: “It is exciting to see Lula again in the street.”
“We can’t help remembering how much Lula, Nestor Kirchner and Chavez mean,” he added.
