A fault in the line of San Geronimo – Santa Teresa left several areas of Greater Caracas powerless on Wednesday, reported the Electricity Corporation of Venezuela (Corpoelec) on its Twitter account.
This damage affected the service of the residents of Los Samanes, La Boyera, El Cafetal, Santa Paula, Valle Arriba, Chuao, Santa Fe, La Trinidad, Caurimare, San Luis, Las Mercedes, Los Naranjos, Prados del Este, Lomas del Sol, Terrazas del Ávila and Guatire.

Complaints were trending on Twitter throughout the day. In some sectors, such as Las Mercedes, the power was out at 11 in the morning and returned after 6 in the afternoon. “Since 11 am without electricity in Las Mercedes”, posted @HenocLopez at 5:52 pm.
Meanwhile, on the same social network, @Corpoelecinforma confirmed that “technical personnel is working to restore electricity service,” the electric company informed.
