President of Venezuela’s National Assembly Meets with Chinese Ambassador in Caracas

The President of Venezuela’s National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, held a meeting on Wednesday with the ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Venezuela, Li Baorong, where he thanked the Asian giant for their work and solidarity in the fight against COVID -19.
“We had an important meeting with our dear brother Li Baorong, ambassador of the giant People’s Republic of China,” Rodríguez wrote on his Twitter account. “We express our gratitude for their solidarity in the fight against COVID-19 and our commitment to fraternal support between the AN and the Chinese Parliament.”

Since the beginning of the pandemic in March of last year, the People’s Republic of China was among the first to show solidarity with Venezuela, sending kits, equipment and treatments to combat the pandemic, as well as a team of experts who had worked with the pandemic in Wuhan.
