A flight carrying 203 Venezuelans, including seven children formerly held by the US government, arrived Friday at SimĂłn BolĂvar International Airport in MaiquetĂa, La Guaira state.
Venezuela’s Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello received flight 51 of the Return to the Homeland Program.
“They returned to their homeland, to love, to life, to hope… We are sharing a moment of happiness with their parents. We will continue forward; our brother president has pledged to bring them all back.”

Cabello recalled that the Venezuelan government initially claimed child Maikelys Espinoza. The list later grew to 34 children, but it continues to grow daily, as every time a new plane arrives, more parents report that their children were separated from them by US government officials.
On July 18, seven children from this group of minors arrived who were sought out by Venezuelan authorities.
“Last week, we were very happy with the arrival of the seven children,” said the Minister for Internal Affairs, Justice, and Peace, who explained that this is part of agreements reached directly between the government of President Nicolás Maduro and the US government.
Camila Fabri, the president of the Return to the Homeland Program, reiterated that Venezuela will continue fighting to bring back all missing children.

“Today, we are witnessing seven new miracles because, today, a new life begins for them with their mothers. They were unjustly separated from their parents there in the United States,” she said.
Minister Cabello also reported that progress is being made in coordination with the Venezuelan government to arrange the resumption of repatriation flights for Venezuelan migrants in Chile and Peru.
“Our planes cannot enter Chile and Peru, so they have to go to Bolivia. If everything goes as we hope, we could make the first flight to Bolivia next week,” explained Cabello.
