This Tuesday, the seventh shipment of humanitarian aid from China arrived in Venezuela for the battle against Covid-19, containing rapid and molecular screening tests, ventilators, and traditional Chinese medicine treatments.
From the Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía, the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, received the aid and thanked the constant support of this country since the beginning of the pandemic.

“From the first flight that arrived, China has supported us. From the first moment, China has known how to fight the pandemic and crossed borders to help other countries, and Venezuela was one of the first countries, with its treatment scheme and scientific advances,” she said.
She added that this is the first flight that Conviasa makes to China, on this air bridge, since the Covid-19 pandemic was declared.

She recalled that Conviasa has been a fundamental part of this process, since it has fought through the imperial blockade, so far more than 700 tons of supplies and medical equipment have been received thanks to the enabled airlift.
She highlighted the work of China in the process of developing the vaccine to achieve a cure against Covid-19. “They are already have five vaccines in development, participating in all the procedures of the World Health Organization (WHO).
For his part, the Ambassador of China in Venezuela Li Baorong, stressed that China will remain a constant support to Venezuela to continue strengthening cooperative relations, in the face of imperial challenges and threats.
