This Wednesday the vice president of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, reported two new detected cases of Covid-19 for a total of 331 in the country. There are 142 recovered cases (42.9 percent of the total), another 89 are kept in sentinel hospitals, 66 in comprehensive diagnostic centers (CDI), 24 in private hospitals and 10 deaths have been recorded
The vice president indicated that 458,737 tests for Covid-19 have been carried out in the country, which is equivalent to 15,291 tests per million inhabitants.
The cases detected today are:
- 51-year-old man, belonging to the Cuban Medical Mission, presented symptoms of fever, headache and cough. He was detected in a sentinel hospital and was admitted to a CDI.
- 23-year-old man, native of the state of Cojedes. He entered the country from Colombia, in the Táchira state. He had contact with another positive case. He is admitted to a CDI in Ureña.
She noted that of the 331 cases, there are 105 that are asymptomatic, thus highlighting the importance of using the mask. 69 have mild acute respiratory failure, 3 have moderate acute respiratory failure and two patients are on intensive care.
