Venezuela Rejects Fake News by News Agencies About World Food Program

The Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza, rejected this Sunday another piece of “information” about Venezuela publicized by press agencies and opinion-makers, who are circulating a new lie that the Government of President Nicolás Maduro is preventing the World Food Program from entering the country.

According to a message published on his Twitter account @jaarreaza, the Minister for Foreign Affairs made reference to an article published by the Bloomberg news agency which claimed that “President Nicolás Maduro would be blocking an agreement to allow the United Nations food agency to bring help to Venezuela by insisting on controlling distribution.”

In that sense, the Venezuelan diplomat informed that the Bolivarian Government is in talks with UN agency for food and expressed that “we aim to reach an agreement that respects the principles and our laws.”
