Vice President Delcy RodrĂguez maintains that this increase in consumption reflects the strength of the national economy, even in the face of coercive measures and the military escalation by Washington.
Commercial activity in Venezuela registered a significant rebound during Black Friday, with a 34% increase in purchases compared to 2024, in a scenario marked by positive economic performance and 18 consecutive quarters of sustained growth, despite the growing escalation of threats and hostile actions from the US, as well as more than 1,000 unilateral coercive measures imposed by the White House against the South American nation.
On social media, Executive Vice President Delcy RodrĂguez stressed that neither campaigns of “psychological terrorism” nor pressures from the US government will stop the country’s economic progress.
“The hegemon’s blatant threats will not prevail against Venezuela. We continue working together to recover our economy through our own efforts,” she stated.
The senior official indicated that this rise in consumption reflects the resilience of the national economy amid coercive measures and destabilization efforts promoted by Washington—whose objective, she warned, is to undermine the constitutional government of President Nicolás Maduro.

She emphasized that the recovery of commercial dynamism demonstrates the Venezuelan people’s determination to move forward despite sustained external aggression.
The increase in economic activity occurs amid constant US hostility, including unilateral sanctions and active military deployments in the Caribbean—actions Caracas denounces as intimidation tactics aimed at destabilizing the country.
