Venezuelan Minister for Foreign Affairs Yván Gil met with several of his counterparts and other authorities from the BRICS+ countries at the BRICS+ Foreign Ministers Summit, held in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia.
The most recent of his meetings was on Monday, June 10, with Foreign Minister of South Africa Naledi Pandor, with whom he agreed to support efforts to achieve justice for the Palestinian people in the face of the Israeli genocide against them.
Earlier, Minister Gil met with the minister of state for economic affairs and trade of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The Venezuelan foreign minister reported both of these meetings on social media.

“We had the honor of meeting with His Majesty Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, minister of state for economic affairs and trade of the United Arab Emirates, aiming to strengthen our collaboration and diplomatic relations,” Gil wrote.
The United Arab Emirates recently joined the BRICS+, along with Ethiopia, Egypt, Iran, and Saudi Arabia.
Previously, Foreign Minister Gil met with Dammu Ravi, secretary of economic relations of the Ministry of External Affairs of India, one of the founding nations of the BRICS, and with Belarusian Foreign Minister Sergei Aleinik.
In Minister Gil’s meeting with Belarusian Foreign Minister Sergei Fyodorovich Aleinik, they discussed the importance of strengthening agreements and alliances between the two nations.

These meetings occurred in Nizhny Novgorod, Russian Federation, where the BRICS+ Ministerial Council takes place for two days. The BRICS+ is a bloc of emerging countries founded by Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa,
Upon arriving in Russia on Sunday, Minister Gil posted a video on social media saying, “We bring the contributions of the Venezuelan people to support the creation of a more equitable and multipolar world, in line with the objectives of this organization.”
Gil added that he brings to the meeting of foreign ministers “Venezuela’s contributions to this organization building a new world order based on solidarity and complementarity, to discard the world of impositions and aggression that imperialism has built.”
