Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the conflict in Ukraine will end in one and a half to two months if the money of Kiev’s sponsors runs out.
Ukrainian authorities “cannot exist, they will not last a month if the money and, generally speaking, the ammunition runs out; everything will end in a month, a month and a half or two months. In this sense, Ukraine’s sovereignty is almost zero,” the Russian president said in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin broadcast on the Rossiya 1 channel on Tuesday, January 28.
Putin highlighted that it was the West that persuaded Ukraine to continue the conflict. In this regard he mentioned the role of former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson (2019-2022) and the US administration of Joe Biden (2021-2025).

According to Putin, under this influence, Ukraine rejected a peace agreement with Russia in 2022 and decided to continue the conflict.
The Russian president revealed that he “sent signals” to Biden about the possibility of a peaceful solution to the conflict in Ukraine.
He also expressed his willingness to appoint people to negotiate with Volodymyr Zelensky, if he wants to participate in the talks.
“Yes, you can negotiate with anyone, but due to his illegitimacy, Zelensky has no right to sign anything,” Putin said. “If he wants to participate in the negotiations, I will appoint people to conduct these talks.”
