Not long ago, just around the corner in time, there was the father who killed himself upon learning his son was homosexual; the father who murdered his son for being homosexual. There were homosexuals who committed suicide due to social and familial rejection â but also due to self-rejection. It wasnât just about not being loved, but not loving oneself: âI donât love myselfâŚâ
This happened almost everywhere, from east to west, north to south, on planet Earth. Earthlings were united in anti-homosexuality. That didnât happen just in the last millennium â it happened quite recently, although it had been happening for a long time.
Today, in many societies, homosexuality is respected â thatâs dignified, noble, just and a dialectical advancement. In other societies itâs merely tolerated, not respected. In some societies itâs clandestine; in others itâs inhumanely punished by death, brutally by hanging in public squares.
Anti-homosexuality was considered a human value, felt as decadence, depravity, human degradation. A way to reaffirm oneself was to insult, mock, recoil at homosexuality. I wonât continue describing the reality you already know.
Speaking with a homosexual friend, both under the nostalgia of our deceased parents, he told me that, during puberty, he was mocking and aggressive toward any homosexual. After coming out, he became aggressive toward his parents. He saidâcryingâthat he didnât give his parents time to understand; âI didnât educate them, I just condemned them.â He realizes this fault within himself now through the nostalgia he feels for them. They werenât religious â they were loving, open, respectful, cordial, joyful, boisterous, hardworking, enthusiastic, disciplined, always tidy and cultured. Yes, they offended me, humiliated me, hurt me. But at the same timeâcryingâhe said they didnât have to accept everything all at once. He also imposed himself; he wanted to choke them with his pain. In the face of homosexuality, parents are evil children. They are children terrified of the social demon.
From his story, I remember once CNN asked a young Arab Egyptian sociologist, âWhen will Arabs protest for homosexual rights?â She replied: let the Arab people decide when â itâs not necessary to submit, to follow the rhythm and dictates of the West; thatâs not a priority in the Arab world. And she added a question: âWhen will the West stop exploiting Africa and supporting Israelâs apartheid?â
The charismatic Nazi-Zionist operator, the writer, comedian, actor and TV host Bill Maher, years ago asked a Palestinian woman: âWhen will the world manage to see a gay bar in Gaza?â
We see how human values are instrumentalized to dehumanize â history has always been so. Religion, art, science, academia, literature, homeland, feminism, democracy, secularism, freedom of expression, sexual diversity, environmentalism, human rights, the right to information, peace, humanism, racism and other worthy causes. Today, these values and bastions are in many cases the sadistic condom of the imperial, Zionist-colonial fascism of our time.
On the other hand, Iâve seen that the great taboo of homosexuality has been âliberated,â but the Palestinian Cause, against Eurocentric colonial anachronism, has not.
A homosexual professor at the University of Quebec documented for us the economic benefits that gay expression brings to the city of Montreal: for example, Montrealâs Jazz Festival, the worldâs most important and a generator of jobs and foreign exchange in Montreal, was surpassed at one point by Gay Week, bringing significant economic contributions. Profit served to instrumentalize the values of tolerance, inclusion, pluralism and democracy.
In the face of the ongoing genocide in Palestine, Gazaâwe insistâthis genocide is not new; whatâs new is that today itâs visible.
Europe that once hated the Christian religious community, and that same Europe that hated the Jewish religious communityâand I say religious Jewish community, not Jewish people, because that notion of Jewish people is a ridiculous Eurocentric stratagem, a scamâdecolonize ourselves. After the Holocaust against the Jewish religious community in Europe, European massacring Europeansâone of Jewish religion, the other of Christian religionâtoday they retain a Eurocentric respectâhow nice!âbut then they come with their European gluttony to lecture us on anti-Semitism and inter-religious tolerance. Europe, yesterday and today, ejaculates in its mother’s mouthâŚ
Let me get to the point.
Yes, homosexuality was a great taboo in Gaza, as it was in New York â not centuries ago, but in the â80s. Now, using the fair gay cause as a banner for that fascism, that Eurocentric colonial anachronism deceitfully called Israel, is perverse and sadistic â though strategic, useful, functional. And the effectiveness of that strategy makes us poor thinkers, because we are artificial, demagogic, sheep, mechanical, opportunistic, reckless.
Using the noble gay cause to demonize a people who fight against colonialism, against a process of extermination since 1948 of a millennia-old native people, rendered prohibited; a people not only sought to be expelled from their homeland, but from history itselfâeven though homosexuality is a taboo within that native Palestinian peopleâusing the dignified gay cause is a praxis that benefits that Eurocentric colonialism; itâs an almost artistic despotism, that works because we care so much about our humanist image, appearance. We are immature criminal operatives.
Using the gay cause to justify a genocide, to say that homosexuals are hanged in Gaza, is the operational propaganda of these psychopaths, these Josef Mengele of propaganda, these Jeffrey Epstein of propaganda, these Caligula of propaganda. A Nazi-Zionist soldier, entering Gaza, raised the colonial flag deceitfully called Israel, with an inscription: âGaza free of homophobia.âç
We are not analytical, we are led by semiology. Today supporting the worthy gay cause is also a label⌠Imagine the West changes opinion about homosexuality and then demands we obey those changes.
Iâve been to Gaza eleven times, and the greatest anger of my life I experienced there was arguing with my own Hamas brothers and especially the women. They didnât demand I wear a veil; I was able to express myself, criticize them. No one is hanged for being gay in Gaza.
Yes, in that colonial anachronism, in that Nazism, at the same time there is the biggest Gay Pride parade in the world. In the face of the ongoing genocide in GazaâPalestine by the Eurocentric colonial anachronism deceitfully called Israel, using the gay cause is a cruel and undignified condemnation and submission â not advancing or being beautiful⌠like the West.
That native Semitic Palestinian people, fighting today in the 21st century against colonialism, is forced to be an immaculate people, a perfect people. In reality, they are required to be like the West â that is a sophisticated insult.
Jesus was Palestinian â and Judas too. No, my Palestinian people are not an immaculate people. At age 10, I was sexually abused by a Palestinian. I appeal to humanity â I owe humanity. Today, in the context of the ongoing genocide, we must be relentlessly firm. Letâs not be manipulated. Letâs not let injustices committed against us be capitalized on by the Eurocentric colonial Zionist anachronism. Let us manage ourselves; let us not become the exquisite idiocy that impeccably feeds the nauseating Zionist-colonial Nazism, deceitfully called Israel.
Letâs not defend the Palestinians, letâs defend the Palestinian Cause.
Letâs not defend gays, letâs defend the gay cause.
I take the opportunity to clarify: my struggle is for the total liberation of the native Semitic Palestinian people, from the river to the sea. No abstractions: the dignified historical feat of native peoples facing the colonizer has always been to fight it, abolish it and free themselves. I believe in the end â in the abolition of the Eurocentric colonial anachronism deceitfully called Israel.
