
Damascus, Jun 5 (Prensa Latina) Syria”s Al-Ikhbariya TV said that the militias of the so-called Kurdistan Workers” Party (PKK) had kidnapped the channel”s correspondent in Hasaka Mohammad Tawfiq al-Saghir.
According to the information, the reporter was arrested because he covered the fires in the wheat fields in Qamishli, in East Syria and 767 kilometers north of Damascus.
The channel informed that the reporter was kidnapped while he was traveling between Qamishli and Hassakeh, took him to an unknown location and held the militia fully accountable for his safety.
The wheat and barley crops in Hassakeh are set on fire, and residents accuse the US-backed PKK militia forces.
Al-Saghir was arrested in 2013 by the aforementioned group after he was reporting the recovery of the Syrian army in the town of Ras al-Ain.
