Venezuela Begins a Repatriation Operation of Venezuelans Stranded in the United States – Covid-19 Crisis (Communique)

The Ministry of Popular Power for Foreign Relations of Venezuela began the proceedings before the United States government for the repatriation of 200 Venezuelans who are stranded in that country, after the president of the republic, Nicolás Maduro, instructed the Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza and the Conviasa airline to speed up the return of fellow Venezuelans for humanitarian reasons, in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.
“The Bolivarian government of Venezuela is taking steps to repatriate the Venezuelans who were left in a dire situation in the US due to the contingency caused by Covid-19. Those affected must upload their data to the website http://eeuu.embajada.gob.ve,” announced Arreaza on Twitter .

The message is accompanied by a communique, specifying that those interested, once they enter http://eeuu.embajada.gob.ve , must register and fill out a form corresponding to the process of the “Plan Vuelta a la Patria Contingencia Covid-19”, sending proof of having a return ticket, the airline name, telephone and contact mail to carry out the respective compilation of cases.

Venezuela advances measures to repatriate nationals in the US due to the Covid-19 contingency
In response to the guidelines of President Nicolás Maduro, the People’s Power Ministry for Foreign Relations is implementing measures to support the Venezuelans who have been left in a situation of distress outside the national territory due to the contingency caused by Covid-19.
In this sense, it has requested the U.S. authorities allow a special flight of the airline Conviasa between the United States and Venezuela, in order to repatriate the Venezuelan citizens that require it.
In order to offer the best and most opportune support for their return flight they can access the web page: Attention System to Venezuelans in the U.S. http//eeuu.embajada.gob.ve, through which they can register by filling out the form for the processing of Return to the Homeland Plan – Covid-19 Contingency, submitting their return ticket, airline by which they returned, phone and e-mail contact, to make the respective compilation of cases.
