CNE: All Systems Go for December 6 Parliamentary Elections

The President of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Indira Alfonzo, said that the Electoral Power is now ready to hold the parliamentary elections scheduled for next December 6.

“Everything is ready for December 6, you just need to choose your candidates for the National Assembly for the period 2021-2026,” Alfonzo highlighted from Warehouse 1 of the National Electoral Operations Office, located in Guarenas, during the deployment of the last box of the electoral kit.

The president of the Electoral Power assured that it was a three-month job by 500 CNE workers to put the entire electoral infrastructure in place for December 6.

The electoral kit has been distributed to more than 14,000 voting centers that constitute almost 30,000 voting tables, in 87 electoral districts, to elect 277 deputies.

“We have shown that each election cements and strengthens our leading democracy,” added Alfonzo. Venezuelans are the only ones who can elect the authorities that belong to us by popular vote.”

Leonardo Morales, vice president of the National Electoral Council, also attended the meeting in Warehouse 1 of the National Electoral Operations Office of the CNE. He added that by December 6 the electoral body “has worked so that we can have an electoral process that satisfies all Venezuelans, both citizens and the political parties.
