The authorities of the United States and other governments, with the collaboration of large internet companies, promote the creation of a permanent record of the daily life of all people in the world, warned the former National Security Agency (NSA) contractor and from the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Edward Snowden.
“The greatest danger is yet to come with the refinement of artificial intelligence ( AI ) capabilities , such as facial and pattern recognition,” said Snowden, according to the RT web portal.
He stressed that they intend to create a surveillance camera equipped with AI, a device that is used for recordings, which would be becoming “something closer to an automated police officer.”
Six years ago Snowden denounced the illegal practice of mass electronic espionage of these US agencies against their own citizens and reiterated that the development of artificial intelligence and the accumulation of personal data on the network would be a threat to the future.
