Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yván Gil reported that he held a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, in which the Iranian foreign minister reiterated strong support for the Venezuelan government following imperialist aggression.
In the conversation, where they had an exchange regarding progress on various bilateral and cooperation issues, “the Iranian foreign minister expressed firm support for Venezuela in the face of the aggression and false narratives that proliferate in the hegemonic media, which serve imperialism to attack the Venezuelan people,” explained the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, in a publication on his Telegram channel.
Abbas Araghchi “expressed the full support and backing of the Government and people of Iran, both within international organizations and within the Group of Friends in Defense of the United Nations Charter, of which both countries are members.”
