Nicaragua Will Launch a “Women for Life” Campaign

Nicaraguan Government announced the relaunch of the Women’s Police Stations

Comrade Rosario Murillo, vice president of Nicaragua, said that we are at the gates of a weekend that opens to our continued celebration of impeace and wellbeing and to strengthen the right of everyone to life, surely, to life with welfare, life with dignity, to life with work,“the right of women to life, women for life, victorious women, women in peace and well, where God our Lord is the sun that illuminates us and does not retreat”, she stressed.

She also brought up that the special plan is being worked on so that our authorities, the National Police, “can all develop and unleash an important campaign: ‘Women for Life, Women, in Peace and Wellbeing’. Women want to live in harmony, live in peace and above all, we want to secure our lives .”

“It is a special campaign that we are going to start beginning next week, including contemplating that all the citizen security units of the country are relaunching the Women’s Police Stations so that we can file our complaints when, in one way or another, the women are attacked. In this fatherland we want freedom without violence, so we are working on the public announcment for next week”, she said.

“We are going to take care of assuming with great responsibility, with the institutions of the state,the relaunching of our Women’s Police Stations, from the Women’s Institute, the Procurator for Woman, the Reconciliation Commission, from the General Attorney’s Office and all the authorities that have a duty to protect the lives of us women, women for life, women to life, women who are talented, intelligent, effective, not only guaranteeing as we have the first places in the world in gender equity at the institutional level, but guaranteeing that we walk towards a Nicaragua free of violence towards women because we know how to be absolutely responsible, the state, all institutions, the mayors and each one of us, promoting dignity and law, respect in our family and communities”, emphasized Rosario.

She stressed that this Saturday we walked at the request and demand of brothers and sisters who have had valuable lives lost in their family, especially, the majority, as a result of their partners violence.

Plan “My Life Without Drugs: Peace and the Future” introduced

In addition, the comrade Rosario recalled the special plan that is being developed throughout the country and was presented today in Managua, “My Life Without Drugs: Peace and the Future.” And the rights chart that is being presented to organizations, churches and people interested in supporting this effort to appropriate rights for children, youth, adolescents, “and above all, the values to train us from childhood as effective responsible citizens, as citizens of good. ”
