The Minister for Communication, Jorge Rodríguez, reported this Saturday that in the last hours 27 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in the country, which places the number of people duly diagnosed, in isolation, and treated at 70.
Rodriguez remarked that the increase in cases today was due to the house by house visits that was initiated yesterday and will continue until Sunday.

During a press conference offered this Saturday, the also vice president of Communication, Culture and Tourism explained that, of the total number of people who have tested positive (70), 2 are critical cases and 15 patients have already recovered, “and fortunately are not deceased.”
In his speech, Rodríguez highlighted that “all the cases that Venezuela presents at the moment are imported cases from Europe and Colombia, there is not a single case of community transmission.”

The minister reported that, thanks to the data obtained through a survey placed on the Patria platform, a record of 16,366 people with symptoms compatible with coronavirus was achieved, who are being visited and diagnosed by epidemiological teams house by house.
In the same way, he stressed that social quarantine is the most effective treatment to prevent the spread of Covid-19, and reiterated the call to the Venezuelan people to abide by the social isolation regulations issued by the Executive.
