Testimonials
“Returning to Venezuela is very expensive, and this is wonderful, you always need your family. (…) It is not good to leave the country, one feels bad. You go out there to make money, but let’s not leave Venezuela, whatever it is, let’s stay [in our Homeland], there’s better”, said one of the beneficiaries of the Return to the Homeland Plan, Isaura Ciero, during the waiting line to access the first of the planes that came from Ecuador.
Also, another of the beneficiaries said very excited that his experience in Quito “was xenophobic, without opportunities and celebrated the initiative of the worker and humanist president, Nicolás Maduro, to repatriate us without any cost. Venezuela is a country of opportunities, there are more opportunities than here in Ecuador. I am happy to return to my homeland and to fight for my country. I will fight there till I died. Now I realize how big Venezuela is. ”
For his part, in Peru, a small boy named Sebastián, who was with his family at the Venezuelan embassy in Peru, said in a touching way: “I’m excited to see all my friends and my brother. I am very happy because we are going to return to Venezuela and I believe in God and when I grow up I will believe much more in him “.
Another of the returnees traveling from Lima to Caracas today said that “we Venezuelans like to work but here they exploit us and we prefer to return to our country and continue fighting to raise Venezuela.”
