Venezuela is experiencing an unprecedented media campaign and psychological warfare, as reported by Venezuelan Vice President Delcy RodrĂguez on Monday.
In a meeting with the secretariat of the National Council for Sovereignty and Peace, the vice president emphasized that the international strategy seeks to ignore the country’s history as a free and sovereign nation to carry out a psychological offensive against its people.

“Venezuela is the victim of one of the most powerful media campaigns against it, aimed at tarnishing its good name, undermining its dignity, disregarding our nationalities, our history as a free and independent country. Above all, it is a media campaign aimed at an unprecedented psychological war against the population,” she said.
At the meeting, which was attended by a wide representation of sectors of society advocating for peace, including representatives from various political organizations, university representatives, scientists, social movements, and both public and private business sectors, the vice president emphasized that the goal of unity in the face of the current scenario of United States aggression is to pursue a single path: peace.
“There is only one path, which is the path to peace in Venezuela,” RodrĂguez emphasized. She condemned the presence of US Navy warships in the Caribbean Sea and noted that US troops are carrying nuclear-armed missiles, posing a direct threat to Venezuela’s sovereignty.
Venezuela Weighs âState of External Commotionâ To Face US Threats
The action violates the declaration of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), which defines the continent as a territory free of war, one of the few in the world without an active armed conflict. RodrĂguez added that reiterative US military threats are also a violation of the United Nations charter.
In discussing violence on the world stage, she condemned the genocide against the Palestinian people and highlighted Russia’s campaign against neo-Nazism.
Vice President RodrĂguez emphasized that a period of national unity is being consolidated in Venezuela, similar to that which has characterized the economic sector to overcome the “terrible consequences” of the illegitimate blockade imposed by the US against the country.
