Cuban Doctors on their Way to Three Countries to Combat Covid-19

This Friday, three Cuban medical brigades of the International Contingent of Doctors Specialized in Disaster Situations and Serious Epidemics Henry Reeve left for Guinea-Bissau and the Caribbean territories of Martinique and the island of Anguilla, to support these countries in the fight against Covid- 19.

According to various local press media, the missions leave as Cuba is about to declare victory in its battle against Covid-19.
The brigade that leaves to carry out a mission to Guinea Bissau is made up of 23 cooperators, of which 14 are women. Meanwhile, to Martinique 15 Cuban doctors will work and share with colleagues in this French overseas territory their experiences to stop the spread of Covid-19.

The first vice minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment of Cuba, Ana Teresita González, expressed that in this way, the island has 38 brigades in 31 countries which contribute to the international battle against Covid-19 and to the fight for a better world that is possible.
Different social and political organizations have joined the worldwide demand to award the Nobel Peace Prize to Cuban medical brigades.
