This tragic event, which has shocked the country, is described by GonzĂĄlez as one of the darkest episodes in Ecuadorâs recent history, pointing to the complicity and neglect of those in power.
GonzĂĄlez, in a message full of emotion, sympathizes with the families of the victims, saying that âno one should face such indescribable pain.â The president points out that these childrenâs lives were taken away in an atrocious way and that the whole country is mourning their loss.

In a call to action, GonzĂĄlez assures that she will not allow this crime to go unpunished.
