This Friday, September 25, the protector of the state of Táchira, Freddy Bernal, reported that currently the gas supply plant at the José Antonio Anzoátegui Petrochemical Complex, Anzoategui state, has been paralyzed for a week.
Through his radio show “Reporte Bernal,” the leader asserted that, out of ten gas filling dispensers, only three would be operating.
“Commander Chávez told us that you cannot lie to the people, so I am not afraid to tell the truth. The José Antonio Anzoátegui plant has been shut down for a week. Out of ten gas filling peaks, only three are working. Only two cistern trucks arrive daily,” Bernal said.

Bernal highlighted that they recently managed to buy a cistern truck called El Pulpo. It allows filling between 300 and 350 gas cylinders per day.
“US sanctions do not allow us to import spare parts for the gas plant, which was built by General Electric corporation. This blockade hits us hard, without compassion,” he said.
Bernal pointed out that, after learning from the experiences of Iran, Russia and China, protocols have started in Venezuela that have allowed these refineries to work despite US sanctions.

“I am not going to lie to you, here we have Chinese and Iranians in some refineries. I will not say which ones so that they do not sabotage them, to get rid of our dependence on foreign technology,” he stressed.
“Iran has 40 years of sanctions and managed to be a self-sustaining country. We have barely 4 years of this madness and we hope not to reach 40,” he said.
Finally, he pointed out that four actions are currently being articulated to improve the electricity situation in the state of Táchira. For this, 20 transformers are being installed. In addition, work is being done on the bearing of Unit 15 at the Táchira Plant, with the aim of reactivating 80MW. It is also planned to activate the Camburito Plant and the cleaning of La Vuelta plant.
“We come to reaffirm that Venezuela is independent and sovereign, and our loyalty to President Nicolás Maduro and the Bolivarian Revolution,” he concluded.
