The run-up to the upcoming Venezuelan presidential elections on July 28 has been progressively colored by a climate of verbal violence on social media, an escalation that threatens to cross the digital barrier and lead to a situation of political violence that, as is well known, it has precedents that are still fresh in the Venezuelan national collective memory. This scenario of confrontation, far from being an isolated phenomenon, reflects the deep want of extremist opposition sectors to make a social fracture that threatens to tear the country apart.

The hate speeches that are visible reflect the desperation and intolerance of certain sectors in the Venezuelan opposition. The inability to accept the possibility of an electoral victory for President Nicolás Maduro, seen as a premeditated fraud by those who only contemplate their own victory, periodically triggers messages full of violence, discrimination and a spirit of total annihilation towards Chavismo.
This speech, far from being a novelty, reflects the modus operandi of anti-Chavismo. Their refusal to accept the popular will expressed at the polls has led them to resort to violence and sabotage whose specific objectives are to delegitimize the electoral process, sow social chaos and justify violence as a tool to achieve power.

It is at this point where narratives emerge that resemble like echoes of fascism. The search for a status quo of violence, discrimination and spirit of extermination against Chavismo by these sectors of the Venezuelan opposition finds a chilling parallel with this conservative sector.
It is no coincidence that the expressions of hate intensify in the context of the struggle for power that the anti-Chavismo leadership has proposed. It is a strategy that has been used in the past by these sectors, who have demonstrated a fierce opposition to popular participation in the electoral process and an inclination towards violence as a method to achieve power.
The recent history of Venezuela, full of events such as the violent protests of 2014 and 2017, the insurrection against Venezuela from Operation Guaidó of 2019, and the constant economic sanctions that seek to destabilize the economic and social fabric of the country, are examples that confirm this dangerous trend.
Hay que eliminar todos los símbolos que huelan a Chavismo, la plaga socialista del siglo XXI hay que extinguirla. https://t.co/3WbO9KhM0D

This scenario of violence, exacerbated by political polarization and hate propaganda, creates a perfect breeding ground for social instability. The possibility of a scenario where violent groups try to sabotage the electoral process and impose their agenda by force is a latent threat that requires forceful measures to protect the peace of the country.

The Venezuelan government has responded to this threat with a series of legislative measures to regulate the financing of NGOs, which, in some cases, are tools to finance political violence, and also with the implementation of sanctions for crimes of fascism that seek prevent this escalation and ensure that those responsible for acts of hate are brought to justice.
Es definitivo,el Chavismo será enterrado el 28 de Julio.

The continuity of the government of President Nicolás Maduro is presented as the guarantee of social peace and political dialogue in Venezuela. He is the only candidate who has demonstrated a commitment to peace and national unity, and who has worked tirelessly to build a climate of dialogue and understanding between the different political forces.
