In a new edition of Con Maduro+, the president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reported that non-oil exports between Venezuela and Russia have increased by 453% over the past two years.
In a news analysis of the economic sphere, he referred to non-oil exports between Venezuela and Russia, highlighting this positive increase for both nations.
“In two years of non-oil exports, 453% is the increase in trade and integration relations between the economic and productive sectors of Venezuela towards Russia,” stated President Maduro.
Perspectives and expectations are opening up, since Russia has been replacing imports from Western countries—”countries that have attacked and sanctioned” Russia—with products from Venezuela that cover its needs.
Projection of relations in the coming years
In a recent commission, led by Vice President Delcy RodrĂguez and Russia’s Deputy Vice President Dimitri Chernyschenko, noted President Maduro, all areas of cooperation between the two nations were define, including in strategic areas such as energy, oil, investments, petrochemicals, gas, strengthening of the National Electric System (SEN), and military and commercial development.
Finally, he highlighted the high level of maturity and political trust between the two countries and the knowledge of the potential of each one, with a plan projected for six more years.
