President Maduro Spoke With the Head of WHO: Special Humanitarian Aid on its Way

The vice president of the Republic Delcy RodrĂguez reported this Wednesday, March 18, that president Nicolás Maduro, requested “special help” through the World Health Organization ( WHO ) .
From the Presidential Covid-19 Command Post in the Miraflores palace, she said that President Maduro held a phone conversation with the director general of this international body, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.
RodrĂguez explained that this aid consists of sending “test kits, special tests, supplies, assistance and medical cooperation” to face the coronavirus pandemic.
In this regard, she stressed that the WHO head confirmed that this body “will provide all the help that Venezuela requests, because we have been illegaly sanctioned and blocked by the US.”
The vice president stressed that the intention is “to prevent the coronavirus propagation curve from rising. We can cut the transmission chain, it is a difficult task but we know that with the measures that have been adopted we will achieve it.”
