On a flight from Honduras, 195 Venezuelan migrants arrived at Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía, La Guaira state, as part of the Return to the Homeland Plan.
The Venezuelan Ministry for Internal Affairs, Justice, and Peace reported on Saturday, May 17, that the entry protocol was complied for the repatriates and they they were returned to their homes.
This repatriation scheme is part of the policies implemented by the Nicolás Maduro administration to protect Venezuelans abroad who have been victims of racism, xenofobia, exploitation, and human right violations on the part of the US empire and its lackey governments in the region.
On May 14, 226 Venezuelans repatriated from the US returned to the country, including two-year-old Maikelys Espinoza, who had been held hostage by the Donald Trump regime.
On Friday, during the broadcast of the podcast Sin Truco ni Maña, the minister of the Interior, Justice, and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, reported that 4,355 Venezuelans have been repatriated from the US this year through the Return to the Homeland Plan, a figure that has increased with the arrival of the compatriots who reached the country on Saturday.
