Caracas (OrinocoTribune.com)âThe Venezuelan government, led by President NicolĂĄs Maduro of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, has issued an official statement reiterating “its deepest indignation and absolute condemnation of the systematic barbarity that the Zionist regime of Israel continues to carry out against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.”
The statement, published this Wednesday, July 23, added that the Netanyahu regime “has become a criminal machine” and stated that “these war criminals are carrying out one of the most inhumane practices known,” referring particularly to the deliberate massacres of Palestinians gathered at food distribution centers.
The announcement followed the Israeli entity’s parliamentâs approval on Wednesday of a symbolic, legally non-binding motion supporting annexation of the West Bank, a Palestinian territory that the Israeli colony illegally occupies under international law. For many experts, this decision sets the ground for the Zionists’ long-awaited final ethnic cleansing of Palestinians.
The approved motion calls for applying Israeli settler colonial “sovereignty” to all land it defines as “historical,” including the West Bank.
By late 2023, roughly 500,000 Israeli settlers lived in the West Bank, per the Zionist colony’s Central Bureau of Statistics. This figure excludes occupied East Jerusalem, and may undercount the actual number of settlers.
Recent atrocities prompt outcry
Recent weeks saw global outrage over the Zionist regimeâs indiscriminate killings of Palestinians seeking food and water. Venezuela asserts that this stems from a premeditated Israeli colonial effort to starve survivors of the ongoing genocide.
According to the statement, “hundreds of people have been executed in cold blood while searching for food or water,” and “entire families have been targeted by snipers and drones.”
Venezuela demands the United Nations (UN) “act immediately and decisively” to “stop this massacre, halt the illegal annexation,” and ensure that Netanyahu, his aides, and “all those responsible” face justice.
“There is no eternal impunity,” reads the statement by Venezuela’s government. “Sooner rather than later, they must be tried and convicted.”

Below, you can read the unofficial translation of the statement:
The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expresses its deepest indignation and absolute condemnation of the systematic barbarity that the Zionist regime of Israel continues to carry out against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
The Netanyahu regime has become a criminal machine comparable in its cruelty to the most atrocious crimes of the 20th century. But while Nazism acted in the shadows, Zionism perpetrates an extermination in broad daylight, mocking the conscience of humanity and International Law.
These war criminals carry out one of the most inhuman practices known: the deliberate murder of civilians at food distribution centers. Hundreds of people have been cold-bloodedly executed while seeking food or water. Entire families have been targeted by snipers and drones as part of a planned extermination policy, carried out with total impunity.
Simultaneously, the Israeli regime has intensified the illegal annexation of Palestinian territories in the West Bank, in open and repeated violation of International Law. This conduct infringes upon the Fourth Geneva Convention, which prohibits the appropriation of territories occupied by force, contravenes United Nations Security Council resolutions, and constitutes a crime of aggression, apartheid, and colonialism.
Venezuela demands that the United Nations act immediately and decisively. The General Assembly and the Security Council must stop this massacre, halt the illegal annexation, and ensure that Netanyahu, his collaborators, and all those responsible face justice. There is no eternal impunity: sooner or later, they must be tried and condemned.
We reaffirm our firm, unwavering, and militant support for the right of the Palestinian people to constitute a free, sovereign, and independent State, with the pre-1967 borders and East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with International Law and the pertinent United Nations resolutions.
