Caracas (OrinocoTribune.com)—Venezuela received four Return to the Homeland Plan flights this week, carrying 666 nationals. The majority of passengers were deported by what the Venezuelan government describes as racist US migration policies against Latino migrants. Only 58 citizens were returned from South America on a flight from Bolivia.
With the program’s relaunch last February, nearly 11,000 Venezuelans have returned to their country after enduring hardship and xenophobia abroad, most from the United States.
The flights
The most recent flight, number 61 from Harlingen, Texas, landed Friday at SimĂłn BolĂvar International Airport in MaiquetĂa, carrying 184 Venezuelan citizens. The group consisted of 144 men, 18 women, 10 boys, and 12 girls. They were received according to protocols established by immigration, security, and Return to the Homeland authorities. This information was released by the interior ministry on social media.

On Thursday, flight 60 arrived from Mexico carrying 313 Venezuelans. This group included 69 men, 108 women, 61 boys and 75 girls, who were also received following all protocols.
Earlier that day, flight 59 from Bolivia transported 59 Venezuelan citizens, including 19 men, 20 women, 13 boys, and seven girls. All were received safely and with appropriate institutional support.
On Wednesday, flight 58 landed at Maiquetia airport carrying 100 repatriated migrants from the state of Texas, United States.
“The sound of suitcases mingled with laughter, tears of joy, and the murmurs of ‘thanks for being home,’ as 102 men and eight women discovered that the greatest treasure is, and always will be, the warmth of their land and their people,” the Venezuelan interior ministry reported.

Repatriation efforts from South America
The repatriated citizens returned home on a flight from Bolivia after leaving Bolivia, Ecuador, Chile, and Peru. The Venezuelan government announced the resumption of flights with migrants from South America several weeks ago. The move came after many governments in the region forbade Conviasa flights, which badly affected migrants.
With these actions, the Venezuelan state continues to strengthen its social protection policies and reaffirms its commitment to the well-being of its citizens abroad. The Return to the Homeland Plan remains active in various countries, coordinating diplomatic and logistical efforts to ensure the orderly, dignified, and free return of vulnerable Venezuelans living abroad.
