Venezuelan Minister for Interior Relations, Justice and Peace, Néstor Reverol, announced through his social networks that this Sunday, October 4, a plane that was illegally flying over the Venezuelan airspace, bordering Colombia, was neutralized.
“Upon entering our territory, and being detected by the radars of the Comprehensive Aerospace Defense Command (#Codai), the provisions of the Control Law for the Comprehensive Defense of the Airspace were complied with, neutralizing this plane after ignoring the identification and landing orders,” Reverol explained.

The “twin-engine type, white, GULFSTREAM III model” aircraft would have landed in a clandestine pint near the Santana sector, Bartolomé de las Casas parish, in the Machiques municipality of Zulia state.

“The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela reaffirms its commitment to actively combat structured groups of transnational organized crime that intend to use our airspace for this criminal activity,” the Minister lashed out.
