“Of the 70 cases we already have 15 cases recovered. What do we call recovered patients? To all the patients that after the accurate diagnosis was made, they have presented themselves during the last 5 days without absolutely any type of symptom”, he stressed.

Rodríguez specified that despite the fact that other 2 patients are in critical condition in private hospitals, the Ministry for Health guarantees even in those cases the corresponding treatment, which according to the protocols includes Interferon, chloroquine and antibiotics, among constant monitoring by epidemiological authorities.

The Venezuelan authorities together with the commission of Cuban experts are working to include Interferon Alfa 2B in the treatment of Venezuelans infected with coronavirus. The drug is part of the WHO protocol to care for patients with this disease and any complications that may arise.
