The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, held a telephone conversation with his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in which the Turkish leader conveyed a message of congratulations to all the Venezuelan people following the presidential elections of Sunday, July 28.
This was announced this Wednesday, August 7, by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Yván Gil via a statement in which he pointed out that, during the conversation, Erdoğan was pleased with the reports received from Venezuela’s electoral observers. These individuals attended all phases of the electoral process and supported the efforts that have been undertaken before the Supreme Court of Justice to corroborate the veracity of the results announced by the National Electoral Council (CNE).
The two leaders also reaffirmed the ties of brotherhood and cooperation between Venezuela and Turkey. In addition, President Erdoğan extended an invitation to President Maduro to visit the city of Ankara.

President Nicolás Maduro Moros received a call today from the President of the Republic of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in which the Turkish leader conveyed a message of congratulations to all the Venezuelan people, following the elections last Sunday, July 28.
President Erdoğan welcomed the reports received from the election observers, who attended all stages of the electoral process, and supported the efforts that have been undertaken before the Supreme Court of Justice, as the constitutional body that will corroborate the results announced by the National Electoral Council.
The Venezuelan president explained in detail all the actions that have been undertaken by groups that ignore the institutions, as well as the development of the cybernetic, fascist and criminal coup that attempts to ignore the will of the people expressed in the elections, as well as the judicial contempt of Edmundo González, who has refused to recognize the authority of the Supreme Court of Justice, as well as that of the National Electoral Council itself, recalling that he refused to sign the recognition [of electoral resuts and peace] agreement, to which he was summoned by the Electoral Power, signed by the majority of the candidates before the electoral process.
The Turkish president acknowledged the commitment of the Bolivarian government in the fight for the Palestinian cause and reaffirmed the ties of brotherhood and cooperation between Venezuela and Turkey, taking the opportunity to invite President Nicolás Maduro Moros to make an official visit to his country as soon as possible, in order to continue advancing strategic projects between both nations.

Mali and Laos
On Wednesday, Foreign Minister Gil extended a cordial greeting to the president of the Democratic Republic of Laos, Thongloun Sisoulith, and the president of Mali, Assimi Goita, who welcomed the re-election of President Nicolás Maduro on July 28.
In his social media accounts, the top Venezuelan diplomat reiterated Venezuela’s willingness to maintain relations of cooperation and friendship with these two nations.
Through a diplomatic note, Goita reiterated his willingness to work hand in hand with the Venezuelan president to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
“Your re-election to the highest office of your country gives me the happy opportunity to offer your excellency, on behalf of the people of Mali, your government and myself, my warmest congratulations,” the text read.
For his part, Sisoulith reaffirmed, through a diplomatic note, his commitment to work closely with Venezuela to strengthen and improve the ties of friendship and cooperation between both nations.
