The Minister for Transport, RamĂłn VelĂĄsquez AraguayĂĄn, condemned the cyber attacks against Conviasa airline’s website and the payment processing systems for metro transit companies of several cities in the country. The cyber attacks were committed by the “hacktivist” group Anonymous.
They were reported on Sunday. August 11, by VelĂĄsquez AraguayĂĄn on his Instagram account, where he explained that in the case of Conviasa, Venezuelan experts managed to neutralize the electronic sabotage thanks to their technical teams.
VelĂĄsquez AraguayĂĄn continued, âSimilarly, against the Fare Collection System in the Caracas, Valencia, Los Teques, Maracaibo, IFE Metros and the MetrobĂşs system, which caused a temporal collapse in the service, we have acted to protect all the information, as a guarantee for our users and to resume the pre-paid card system.”
VelĂĄsquez AraguayĂĄn added, â…faced with the declaration of a cyber war against Venezuela by the lackeys of imperialism, we stand up and confront any attack against our country! They will not succeed!â
