At 11:40 p.m. this Sunday, the principal rector of the Venezuelan National Electoral Council, Elvis Amoroso, and Rector Carlos Quintero announced the initial results of the elections for governors, National Assembly deputies, and legislative councils, held on May 25.
With 93.01% of the votes counted, the turnout was 42.66%.
Deputies national list
• PSUV: 4,553,484 votes (82.68%)
• Democratic Alliance: 344,422 votes (6.25%)
• URTC-Única: 285,501 votes (5.18%)
• Neighborhood Force: 141,566 votes (2.57%)
• Other valid and invalid votes: 182,351 votes (3.31%)
Of the 50 positions to be elected, 40 positions are awarded with an irreversible tendency:
• 34 from the Great Patriotic Pole: Jorge Rodríguez, Cilia Flores, Iris Varela, Jesús Faría, Angel Marcano, Jehyson Guzmán, María León, Fernando Soto Rojas, Noelí Pocaterra, Hernán Escarrá, Francisco Arias Cárdenas, William Benavides, Henry Parra, María Rosa Jiménez, Jorge Arreaza, Desiré Santos Amaral, Vanessa Montero, Ilenia Medina, Didalco Bolívar, Wilmar Castro Soteldo, José Gregorio Vielma Mora, Juan Escalona, Maigualida Barrera Morasles, Nazarela Rojas Méndez, Ciro León, Oswaldo Zamora, Wills Rangel, Pedro Rangel Moreno, Gilberto Jiménez Prieto, Ivonne Ledezma, José Antonio España, William Fariñas, Miguel Angel Pérez Abad, Nicia Maldonado.
• 3 from the Democratic Alliance: Bernabe Gutiérrez, Timoteo Zambrano, Alfonzo Campos.
• 3 from URTC-Única: Henrique Capriles Radonski, Luis Emilio Rondón, Stalin González.
A total of 283 National Assembly seats are in dispute. The majority are chosen by national and regional lists presented by political parties or coalitions; the rest are selected by name. The CNE has not yet released results for regional lists and nominal candidates.
The detailed results have not yet been published by the CNE, as publicly reported by Rector Conrado Pérez in a recent interview with La IguanaTV. The CNE website has been offline since the presidential elections on July 28.
Governorships
All twenty-four positions have been awarded with irreversible results, said Rector Carlos Quintero. Only Cojedes remained under opposition control, as shown below:
