The minister for the Interior, Citizen Security and Peace of Venezuela, Captain Diosdado Cabello, stated that whoever invades Venezuela should be prepared for a hundred years of war.
At an event with members of the Bolivarian National Militia in Aragua state on Saturday, September 13, Cabello said, “If the imperialists set foot here in Venezuela, they should prepare for a 100-year war, and they know that after 100 years the victors will be the Bolivarians. The victor will be our homeland, and they should know it very well. Anyone who tries to attack our country is going to sign up for one hundred years of war. We will be relentless in the defense of the homeland.”
Cabello, dressed in military attire, highlighted that the Bolivarian National Armed Force (FANB) is in preparation phase, and that those who are part of the militia should feel proud of what they are doing.
During the event at the Abelardo MĂ©rida barracks in Aragua, Cabello pointed out that “the United States is trying to divide the revolutionary forces through psychological warfare. However, they will not succeed; it is impossible at this stage of the game.”
“They cannot instill fear in anyone’s mind,” he said. “Venezuelans are not afraid. They cannot scare us even if they set us on fire. We are prepared for whoever it may be, whatever they may be called, wherever they may come from. We will fulfill the fundamental task of protecting the homeland and whoever messes with Venezuela will pay dearly for it.”
He also referred to opinion polls that show that only 3% of Venezuelans might support a foreign military aggression against their country.
“What does that mean? That there are many Venezuelans who, without belonging to the Bolivarian Revolution, without being Chavistas, say: you cannot touch my homeland, you cannot mess with my homeland, if you mess with my homeland, you will have to fight me head-on. A sense of love for the homeland has been instilled in them,” Cabello remarked.
He added that US “supremacism” is not calculating well and is being swayed by those who promote an invasion of the country.
After addressing the militia members, Captain Cabello led a field training activity with them.
