* 600 Venezuelans Returned this Saturday from Ecuador and Peru with the Plan Vuelta a la Patria

December 30, 2018

A total of 600 Venezuelans were repatriated this Saturday from Ecuador and Peru on the eve of the new year through the Plan Vuelta a la Patria, promoted by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro. Of that total, 300 nationals returned from Ecuador and 300 returned from Peru, number expected to continue growing next year.

“Just two days before the end of the year, the Revolutionary Government deploys a special regional operative that will allow hundreds of Venezuelans in conditions of vulnerability abroad to return to their homeland and start a prosperous year in 2019,” the embassy of Venezuela in Peru published through its Twitter social network account.

For its part, the embassy in Ecuador reported that volunteer doctors in the nation offered medical care prior to their departure from the Mariscal Sucre international airport in Quito to return to the homeland of Simón Bolívar.

The embassy said that during the deployment of the Plan Vuelta a la Patria, which is being carried out in the Ecuadorian country, a special day of issuing passports and extensions was also held.

Since last August, Venezuela has launched the Plan Vuelta a la Patria, created by the national president to establish a bridge both air and land for the voluntary return of those who have emigrated, but after encountering an adverse reality in other nations, now they want to return to Venezuela, with the premise of studying, working for peace and the socio-economic prosperity of the nation.

In four months, this plan has a total of 11,872 repatriations, from countries such as Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Argentina, Chile and Panama, said the Ministry of Social Affairs from its twitter account.

The plan includes three phases: the registration in the program, the logistics operation, the transfer to Venezuela and the insertion in the social protection system carried out by the National Government.
