“It is striking that the US government is not behind the coup attempt in Venezuela: it is FRONT, in the vanguard, without masks, or dissimulation,” said the Venezuelan Foreign Minister Jorge Rodríguez through his account in Twitter.
The Venezuelan official made reference to the constant interventionist actions and threats of the Administration of Donald Trump, who presses for the overthrow of the Venezuelan president reelected in 2018 with 67 percent of the votes.
On January 23, amid insistent communications from the nation of North America, the Venezuelan opposition deputy Juan Guaidó proclaimed himself “president in charge” in an act that is not contemplated in the Bolivarian Constitution being in complete violation of law.
A very short time later (like if it was scripted), the US government posted a communique recognizing the “legitimacy” of this act and the self-appointed opposition politician, which was seconded by other administrations such as the members of the Lima Group.
“In Washington they designed and openly execute the plan, giving orders to their governments and satellite actors in the world,” Arreaza said.

Before the aggressions, the constitutional and legitimate president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, broke diplomatic and political relations with the Trump government and gave 72 hours for ALL US diplomats to leave the country.
Meanwhile, other governments, political parties, popular and social organizations reject the attempted coup in Venezuela and urge the United States to abandon its pressures that put the peace of the South American country and the continent at risk.
