Covid-19 Balance in Venezuela on Friday: 7 Deaths and 1,012 New Positive Cases

The Vice President of Venezuela, Delcy RodrĂguez, confirmed 1,012 new cases of Coronavirus detected in the last 24 hours throughout the Venezuelan territory, of which 948 are community transmission and 64 imported.
The official added to the balance of this Friday, August 14, which she offered in the afternoon through a TV broadcast, that 7 people died, whose cases were presented in Guárico state, Caracas (2), Zulia, Sucre, Trujillo and Lara state.
The cases by community transmission were distributed as follows: Capital District (221), Miranda (192), Zulia (107), La Guaira (76), Anzoátegui (59), Aragua (57), Sucre (54), BolĂvar (44), Carabobo (28), Monagas (26), Lara (24), Guárico (12), Cojedes (11), Nueva Esparta (10), Trujillo (9), Amazonas (6), MĂ©rida (5), Apure (5) and Delta Amacuro (2).

Regarding the imported cases, it specified that 59 came from Colombia, 4 from Peru and 1 from Ecuador. She also stressed that more than 5,000 cases in Venezuela to date are from travelers arriving from Colombia.
In total, 31,881 cases of Covid-19 have been registered in Venezuela since March, out of which 21,580 have recovered (69% of the total). There are 9,535 active cases, 5,011 treated in hospitals, 4,368 in CDI and 176 in private hospitals. The death toll stands at 266.
