The former secretary of Citizen Security for Zulia state, José Sánchez, alias “Mazuco, ”has been revealed to be involved in paramilitary destabilization plans and has had direct communication with fugitive Iván Simonovis, the former secretary of Citizen Security for Caracas, according to a letter from confidential sources.
This was reported by the PSUV leader Diosdado Cabello this Wednesday, October 9, in his program Con el Mazo Dando. He explained that the governor of Zulia, Manuel Rosales, “is very worried about the arrest of his bodyguards, because that has a lot to do with the arrest of JosĂ© ‘Mazuco’ Sánchez.”
“It turns out that Mazuco is neck-deep in paramilitary destabilization plans and also had direct communication with Iván Simonovis,” Cabello reported. “What is a public fact is that all those who had come out to defend the corrupt [mayor] Rafael RamĂrez, now don’t say a word since they heard the destabilization network plot last week,” he continued. “Everyone knows that Rafael RamĂrez administered the mayor’s office as he pleased.”
Maracaibo Mayor Was Behind Venezuelan Far-Right’s Money Laundering
He pointed out that RamĂrez believed that he should not be held accountable for his corrupt actions, as RamĂrez assumed that President Nicolás Maduro would be overthrown. Last week, it was reported that several citizens were arrested, including the mayor, for a corruption scheme and the diversion of funds from the Maracaibo City Hall to far-right parties.
In the letter, the source cited by the PSUV vice president also highlights the fact that they wanted to use the interventionist program “Ya Casi Venezuela” to “steal a few bucks and distract attention from another group that is plotting.” He explained that “the Vera GarcĂa twins [AndrĂ©s and Alejandro] who set up the scam ‘Ya Casi Venezuela’ went to Dubai to meet with [the Blackwater mercenary] Erik Prince and to wait for things to calm down.”
“The lawyer of the NGO that was receiving the money, after it was brought to light, abandoned their cause and does not want to give them a part of the million dollars that he has raised because he says that if the FBI forces him, he would prefer to just return the money,” he continued. “The other part of the money falls into the digital wallet of AndrĂ©s Vera GarcĂa’s twin.” The letter also noted that in the Mayor’s Office of San Francisco del Zulia, “every dawn, around 3:00 in the morning, trucks are arriving,” and that those trucks “are taking away mountains of paper and folders,” detailing how those involved in the plans continue to try to hide and cover up the evidence of their plots.
