The first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, clarified that the recent releases of those detained for post-election violence have nothing to do with the alleged efforts of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs.)
He explained that in these cases “a review was carried out by the organizations that administer justice and some people were released. It is a sovereign decision of the organizations that administer justice.”
“Even the president [Nicolás Maduro] asked for the cases to be reviewed and it was done. The NGOs have nothing to do with it. Nothing,” he emphasized this Wednesday in the 504th broadcast of his program Con El Mazo Dando.
He sent a message to the relatives of those released: “this is so that they don’t get paid. They are pimps and now they are going to collect and tell the relatives that they were released because they applied pressure.”
“Never, ever, ever in all these years have the NGOs had anything to do with that. They are pimps, all of them, pimps, freeloaders. They are scammers,” he said.
