The Venezuelan minister for education, HĂ©ctor RodrĂguez, presented a new healthcare and special loans plan to significantly improve the living conditions of teachers in Venezuela.
In order to recognize their fundamental role in the development of the nation, the program will come into effect next Monday, September 23, and will offer a series of comprehensive benefits aimed at meeting the diverse needs of teachers, AVN news agency reported.
This Saturday, September 21, through social media, RodrĂguez highlighted that the plan includes full medical care, provision of uniforms, housing support, scholarships for training, and access to loans.
He explained that the plan aims to warranty the effective implementation of these initiatives, and agreements will be developed with various institutions and public banks.
RodrĂguez wrote, “We have signed several agreements with institutions and public banks to guarantee this plan, with the commitment to continue improving the living conditions of our teachers.”
He said that in each school, teachers will report their priorities and, with the support of the principals, we will organize social assistance. He added, “This collaborative approach will ensure that the measures respond to the real needs of educators.”
RodrĂguez noted that “the ministry for education is making efforts to ensure the well-being of teachers, promoting a more fair and equitable work environment, valuing the essential work they do in the education of future generations.”

The start of classes in private schools has not been suspended
Minister RodrĂguez denied that his office has condoned the alleged suspension of the start of classes in private schools.
He also posted on Instagram, “I have been receiving communications in which the ministry is attributed with suspensions or delays in the start of classes in private schools. In this regard, I want to communicate that at no time has my office denied the start of the school year in those schools that had already scheduled it,” thus dismissing the rumors that have leaked on social networks.
