President Nicolás Maduro congratulated the president-elect of Iran, Mosoud Pezeshkian, for his electoral victory.
This was reported by the foreign affairs minister of Venezuela, Yván Gil, on his X account, where he published a government statement issued on Tuesday, July 9.
The text indicates that in a telephone conversation, Maduro and Pezeshkian ratified the fraternal nature of the relationship between the two countries.
Both leaders agreed to continue working together to promote their long-term bilateral strategic relationship.
