Venezuelan President, Nicolás Maduro, expressed solidarity with his US counterpart Donald Trump, who on October 2 was diagnosed positive for COVID-19 and is currently hospitalized at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, receiving state of the art medical attention, unlike many US citizen that can not afford private health care that is the rule in the North American country where more than 210 thousand patients have die due to his terrible handling of the Pandemic.
Preident Maduro recalled that Trump underestimated the scope of the pandemic, and that despite the fact that Trump is a “bloody enemy of Venezuela, we do not wish anyone ill and we hope that he will recover his health and hi normal life.”
“We hope that all this will lead him to be more humane, to understand the peoples of the world,” said the Venezuelan Head of State, who reiterated his message of speedy and effective recovery.

These statements were made through the cameras of the State channel, Venezolana de Televisión, this Sunday, October 4, on the day in which he offered the balance of COVID-19, 203 days after the arrival of the pandemic in Venezuela.
Venezuela is currently ranked in third place in Latin America with the lowest number of Covid-19 related death per million inhabitant, disregarding being subjected to harsh US sanctions and a de facto blockade, at the same time during the pandemic the country has received more than 70 thousand Venezuelan migrants returning home escaping from the Covid-19 catastrophe in Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador and Chile.
