A series of new attacks on the National Electric System (SEN), which occurred on Monday 11 and Tuesday 12 November, were denounced by the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, during an orientation meeting to the Popular Units of Integral Defense (UPDI ) of the Bolivarian National Militia. Maduro described as terrorist these actions that caused the suspension of the electricity service in some parts of the country and pointed to sectors of the Venezuelan opposition as responsible for such events.
He also stressed that thanks to the work carried out by the workers of the National Electric Corporation (Corpoelec), the timely restoration of service to the Venezuelan people was achieved.
“Thanks to Corpoelec workers, it has been possible to contain these two attacks and quickly restore the service. Every time the fascist opposition is trying to harm the country, it attacks the National Electric System and public services, ”said President Maduro.
In the face of these terrorist attacks, the head of state requested the reinforcement of the Combatant Bodies of the workers of companies and public bodies. “Combatant Bodies must be formed to guarantee 100% effective security protocols against such actions,” he said.
In addition, he called for, in the shortest possible time, a special plan that incorporates the workers of the strategic companies of the state to be added to the Bolivarian National Militia.
Orders the creation of Anti-Imperialist School
Maduro also ordered the incorporation of the members of the National Militia to the Bolivarian Military University and the immediate creation of the Anti-Imperialist School for the training of more than 3 million 290 thousand Venezuelan militiamen and women.
“Let the militiamen integrate themselves as university students to the Military University,” he urged. He said the training will include workshops, courses and graduates at the highest university, academic and scientific level, so that members of the civic-military union are increasingly professional.
On the anti-imperialist school, he asked that it be “a territorialized school, with face-to-face and virtual modality, with all the university’s programs”.
Similarly, President Maduro ordered Minister Vladimir Padrino LĂłpez to accelerate coordination with the National Constituent Assembly (ANC) so that the reform that they advance from the Law of the Armed Forces is elevated to Constitutional Law, establishing Bolivarian doctrine in each component and give more strength to the presence of the militia within the military body.
“Militiamen are an integral part of our military, fulfill that order soon,” he summarized.
He recalled that the project is advanced and expressed his desire to see it approved promptly, which will strengthen the powerful civic-military union that exists in Venezuela.
