Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel expressed solidarity with the victims of massive cyberattacks perpetrated by “Israel” using electronic communication devices in Lebanon, which, according to preliminary figures, killed at least 20 people.
“The terrible Israeli massacre, now in Lebanon, is evidence of the impunity of Zionism today,” wrote the Cuban president on his social media accounts on Wednesday, September 18. “The silence of its allies is another example of complicity and cowardice. Our solidarity with the victims and the Lebanese people, and an absolute repudiation of this outrage.”

On September 17 and 18, mass explosions of electronic communication devices, including pagers, walkie-talkies, mobile phones, laptops, radios, and even building intercoms occurred in different areas of Lebanon, a terrorist act that the Lebanese government attributed to a cyberattack by the Israelis.
Hezbollah also blamed Tel Aviv for the beeper explosions. Members of the Lebanese militia use these devices instead of mobile phones to avoid being tracked.
