Chavismo is fine-tuning the machinery to achieve victory in all 335 mayoral and municipal council elections scheduled for July 27.
The head of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela’s (PSUV) Ven25+ Campaign Command, Jorge Rodríguez, explained that “we are fine-tuning all elements of our force to win all mayoralties. We are going for them with all the strength we have developed without stopping.”
He said that this week, the training of the 335 municipal commands will be finalized, which will then be coordinated with electoral commissions of Venezuela’s 5,338 communal councils.
“We are fine-tuning the machinery for July 27 to complete the territorial work of a single force, a single intention, a single project: the 7 Transformations project, to advance without sabotage, obstacles, threats of violence, or extraterritorial attacks.”
Rodríguez noted that ballot position selection is complete, as per the electoral schedule, demonstrating the professionalism of the Venezuelan Electoral Council (CNE) and the “immense strength of the Great Patriotic Pole to win all 335 mayoralties.”
Youth projects will also be decided that day through the National Popular Consultation that will run simultaneously with the mayoral election.
He recalled that over the weekend, youth gathered in more than 40,000 communal councils to debate and present projects for consultation.
“There were more than 40,000 assemblies nationwide, and next weekend, we will hold assemblies in each of the 5,338 communal districts,” said Rodríguez. “There, key projects for consultation will be defined.”
“These are projects for Venezuelan youth that we will all vote for.” Youth aged 15 and over may participate in the referendum; those 18 and over may vote in municipal elections.
PSUV’s Ven25+ Campaign Command head added that the political party will maintain their house-by-house and street-by-street strategy, engaging directly with citizens to promote the revolutionary proposal and address demands.
