Palestinian resistance groups stepped up ambush tactics, inflicting heavy losses on Israeli forces, as the Israeli entity launched a new wave of military operations in northern and southern Gaza, replicating its brutal campaign on Jabalia.
Yesterday, Palestinian resistance factions in Gaza responded to the ongoing Israeli escalation with one of their most effective and high-impact ambushes that reportedly killed or wounded around 20 Israeli soldiers from the 9th Battalion of the Givati Brigade.
The attack unfolded near the Jabalia refugee camp, where Resistance fighters targeted a Humvee, then shelled a building housing Israeli troops with âYasin 105â anti-armor rockets. As Israeli helicopters arrived to evacuate the wounded, one aircraft came under fire. Though Israeli military censors quickly banned coverage, Israeli media described the incident as âexceptional, difficult, tragic, and unprecedented.â
Al-Qassam Brigades claimed responsibility, saying their âfighters are engaging in fierce, point-blank clashes in Jabalia camp, where a well-planned ambush left dozens of enemy soldiers dead.â
Israeli airstrikes flattened in the past days over 80 high-rise apartment buildings, each reportedly housing around 40 displaced families. As a result, approximately 3,200 families became homeless in just a few days.
This comes as the Israeli entity intensified its aerial campaign on Monday, using new, unidentified warplanes that dropped high-explosive bombs and executed the largest fire belts since the offensive resumed in late March. The pace of evacuation orders, along with the combat equipment used, particularly explosive robots, indicates a strategic attempt to replicate the tactics previously used in Jabalia and Rafah across remaining areas of northern Gaza, as well as Khan Younis governorate in the south.
This was announced by Chief of General Staff, Eyal Zamir, who confirmed that Israeli forces ârecently continued encircling Khan Younis city and successfully destroyed thousands of homes in northern and southern Gaza.â
The purpose behind destroying buildings far from the front lines remains unclear, but the âbuildings massacreâ, as Gazans call it, continues. Israeli airstrikes flattened in the past days over 80 high-rise apartment buildings, each reportedly housing around 40 displaced families. As a result, approximately 3,200 families became homeless in just a few days. These families add to the tens of thousands already displaced by new evacuation orders in Jabalia, Sheikh Radwan, Gazaâs Old City, Shujaâiyya, Tuffah, and Zeitoun, alongside the entire city of Khan Younis.
In the same context, the Israeli forces completed the evacuation of the remaining medical staff from the last functioning hospitals in northern Gaza; Al-Awda, the Indonesian, and Kamal Adwan hospitals. The burden now falls on the partially operational Al-Shifa and Al-Ahli Baptist hospitals in Gaza City, both damaged by previous Israeli strikes on their main buildings.
In Rafah, Israeli troops opened fire on starved civilians waiting for aid, killing three and injuring dozens.
