Venezuela Denounces Attacks Against its Embassy in Peru

January 10, 2019

The Embassy of Venezuela in Lima published a video that shows the exact moment of the aggression against this diplomatic mission.

The Venezuelan Foreign Minister, Jorge Arreaza, denounced that the headquarters of the Embassy of his country, in Peru, suffered several attacks on Thursday.

Through his Twitter account, the diplomat said that the Peruvian government will be responsible “for any consequence against our diplomatic staff and Embassy in Lima.”

On the other hand, the Embassy of Venezuela in Lima published a video that reveals the exact moment of the event.

“Violent groups collapse access doors of the Diplomatic Mission” of that nation, indicated the entity through its Twitter account.

Local media reported that in the afternoon a group of people besieged the Venezuelan Embassy and tried to enter the headquarters, but were stopped by security agents.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela urged the Government of Peru to comply with the Vienna Convention.
