The Venezuelan government and the Russian news agency Sputnik signed an agreement on Tuesday for the exchange of projects in the field of communication between both nations.
“For us, it is very exciting to be able to have representatives of Sputnik here, to sign an agreement with you and to share experiences in this agreement to consolidate better means of communication and to fight this battle that is more urgent than ever today,” said Minister of Communication and Information Freddy Ñáñez during the signing ceremony of the document, held at the headquarters of the Ministry for Communication and Information in Caracas, Sputnik reports.
He indicated that in the future, it is possible that any Venezuelan public channel could be accessed by Russian audiences.
“Finally today we make this agreement a reality, this agreement that the countries of the global south need so much to build increasingly balanced and increasingly fair means of communication,” said the minister.

It broadcasts materials in more than 30 foreign languages, and its presence on social networks exceeds 160 accounts, with around 35 million views per day.
